Welcome to your “12D Sumatra Java Sulawesi Bali” tour. Firstly, pick up at Medan Airport. You will visit Maimun Palace, the Mesjid Raya (Great Mosque Almashum), and the Chinese temples Vihara Gunung Timur. Then we drive 4.5 hours to Bukit Lawang, in the Gunung Leuser National Park, through palm oil plantations and rural areas. You will stay at simple accommodations, equipped with traditional Indonesian shower with only cold water. To reach the hotel, you can negotiate with carriers (around Rp30.000 / suitcase)

After breakfast, we will walk for about 2 or 3 hours in the jungle. While we go in search of wild orangutans, we will be able to see different kinds of wildlife, including gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, tail long monkeys, pigtail macaques, flying squirrels, peacocks and hornbills. Your guide will explain you many things about the jungle. Our tour ends by the river, from where you will return to your hotel tubing down the Bahorok River for about 20 minutes. Rest of the day free to relax.

During this day, firstly, you will specifically visit Prambanan Temple, a group of Hindu temples from the 8th to 10th centuries and belonging to the Unesco World Heritage since 1991. Afterwards, we will return to Yogyakarta in order to visit the Sultan’s Palace, the Water Castle of Tamansari. Moreover, you will have lunch straightaway at the Sultan’s Palace Complex. You will then visit the Borobudur Temple, Buddhist and one of the greatest wonders of Southeast Asia from 1,200 years ago, as well as the Temples of Pawon and Mendut. Finally, your guide will undoubtedly take you to your hotel to rest.

Explicitly at 1:00 a.m., we will travel from Malang to the slopes of Bromo volcano. Afterwards, a 4×4 will basically take us to the top of Mount Penanjakan in order to enjoy the amazing sunrise, filled with thousands of colors, likewise a lunar landscape. Then we will ride on horses to the top of Bromo volcano, still active. For that reason, you will smell the sulfur and you will undoubtedly see the landscape from its summit. Breakfast in the meantime to Surabaya airport in order to take your flight to Bali. After all this day you will feel very tired. Do not worry, in essence on the next day you will feel better! Upon arrival in Makassar, your driver will transfer you to your hotel.

Firstly, your driver will take you to Makassar airport for your flight to Palopo (they are 50 min flights, instead of the traditional 8 hour road). At this point, your guide awaits you there to take you then by road to Tana Toraja (2.5h) with views. By the time you arrive, you will particularly see the White Buffalo of Toraja, pigs, Toraja coffee, lada kattokon (Toraja chili pepper), etc., in the Bolu Market.  Afterwards, you will visit Kete Kesu with its rice fields and local crafts, the natural caves with skulls. Finally, we will visit Londa and also transfer to your hotel.

This morning you will need to knock 3 times to enter the Tongkonan Papa Batu in Rembon, one of the oldest, most unique and mystical tongkonan and see the skull of a sacred buffalo that they believe to heal diseases and diabolical possessions. You will do a small trekking of 1000 steps of the Dutch soldiers. You will see the Tau Tau figures in Simbuang, representing the dead, you will have lunch among rice fields, you will see the tombs for babies in Kambira where their souls continue with that of the tree, you will visit the historic Lemo, and according to luck, we will be able to see during the day some funeral ceremony.

At the Telaga Tunjung man-made lake you will learn about the water irrigation system in Bali. After seeing cocoa plantations, you will have coffee and handmade sweets at a local house, where the structure will be explained to you. You will cross unexplored rice fields until you reach the Temple of Tamba Waras, where legend has it that the king of Tabanan (15th century) found his priest. We will arrive in our LandRover to the famous Jatiluwih (UNESCO) rice fields, where you will have lunch with relaxing views of the fields. Return to your hotel.
